Imagine playing blackjack for cookies rather than for money, and imagine rolling out in roulette but there happens to be no chips if the ball happens to land on your number. So then is there any fun left in gambling if that was to happen?

Well in light of the NBA slowly announcing that players are not allowed to gamble on cards anymore, many of the NBA players have come out to say that there is just no fun in playing cards if there is no money involved. Is it really the money that they are playing for or for the glory?

Did they first play basketball for the money or did they play it because it was just the best game and no money was needed to motivate them to play. Same should really go for cards, it's fun and the glory of winning that motivates players to play, not exactly the money, if there there was enough glory or bragging rights at the end of it would they complain that there would be no money at the end of hte game?
