Getting Banned
12 Jun 10
There have been a few stories surfacing from this year’s WSOP on players being banned from the series for life. Some of them more conventional than others. One being that whilst the dealer had their head turned away and most of the players on the table having already left for a break, one player finishing off a hand tried to scoop in some of his neighbours chips as well hoping that the dealer did not notice.
Well the dealer did notice the player’s steal attempt and called the supervisor who in turn used the security cameras to check over the player’s moves and had enough evidence to throw the player out of the tournament and ban him for life.
On a separate occasion it is now also been told that if anybody is caught smoking pot in the parking lot that they will also be thrown out and banned from the WSOP for life. Seems like one crime fits the punishment more than the other since the latter has plenty of young online poker players on the fan based and listed on a recreational use. However, it is good to see security guards keep up with what is legal and what’s not.
