PartyGaming Reaching Deal With U.S.?
09 May 08
Outgoing PartyGaming CEO Mitch Garber projected that a settlement with the U.S. could happen before he leaves.
According to online-casinos.com, Garber told business reporters that discussions with officials from the U.S. were "constructive" and that a settlement could be possible by the end of the year, although the Party CEO also tempered that by saying that the situation was "unpredictable".
PartyGaming came under the scrutiny of U.S. Officials after the UIGEA passage and it negotiated talks back in 2007.
Garber said his impending departure from the company probably wouldn't affect talks.
